Leonardo da Vinci as my favourite Italian guy

Hi there.
Now is the period of time when I am writing lots of presentations for my university. 2 weeks ago I had to submit a piece of paper for subject called Management innovation. I have chosen Leonardo da Vinci.

The question is why? Well, because I like this guy. Firstly because he is Italian :-) and then because he was such as genius and innovator. I am very fascinated by his work. Let me tell you something about his life.

Florence
He was born in the middle of 15th century. Leonardo comes from Vinci which is quite close to Florence. He was studying there and Florence was also a matter of his heart. I have been there and totally love this city. It´s just beautiful.

Milan
After Florence he left to Milan where he spent about 17 long years.  Leonardo was working on so many things that most of them he never finished. In Milan there is his master piece The last supper. If you wanna see it you have to make a reservation few months before. Of course, I didn´t know that. That´s why I haven´t see it so far. I have been also in Milan couple of times and my favourite place is this square in front of catheral- Piazza del Duomo

Leonardo and his travelling period
For next 17 years he was travelling all around Italy for example Venice, Florence, Milan, Rome etc..

Rome
Rome, well let´s say Vatican because it is the residence of the Pope. Leonardo never had so good relationship with Rome. He loved Florence republic. Anyway, he was making an autopsy in order to understand the structure of the human body. However the Pope forbade him to do. For me Rome is one of the most amazing cities I have ever seen. I am always happy when I have a chance to go there.

France
The last years of his life he spent in France. In Paris you can see his other master piece Mona Lisa. I have been in Paris but unfortunately I haven´t see it. I know, shame on me. Next time,ok? Leonardo is buried in the chapel of Saint-Hubert in Château at Amboise. I have been there too and the chateau is very nice.

Leonardo was a man who was ahead of his time. In his time people were not ready for his inventions.
For me he was one of the biggest innovators. He was interested and excelled for instance in the fields of painting, sculpture, architecture, anatomy, mechanics, geometry, music, war machines, flying machines, botany, invented the parachute or even painted his own portrait.

If you are fascinated by him as much as I am, I would recommend you to watch the serial called Da Vinci´s Demons. At least first series is good.
See you later

Weekend in Prague with my friends from Kings Dominion

Hi guys.
What´s up? It just happened that last weekend I went to Prague. Again. I know. Twice during one week. However this time I was visiting my Czech friends who I know from the U.S.  Let´s have a look how was the weekend we spent all together.

Prague-city center
Me and Tyna
Me and Bohunka

They were just opening new shopping center last week. This head you can meet in front of it. It is actually quite fascinating.

Petřín-observation tower
It is kind of Czech Eiffel Tower, right?

What can I say? My friends told me that I have to put a photo on my blog describing my outfit so here you go.
My outfit: coat by River Island from England, jeans by Adidas from Portugal, shoes and scarf by Atmosphere from England, handbag by Tommy Hilfiger from the U.S.
A friend of mine always calls me international. He´s got a point :-)

The view of Prague

Let´s party, shall we?
Kings Dominion meeting. I am so happy that I could see you again, guys. We started in place called PopoCafePetl which was surprisingly cheap. After that dancing in Zlaty strom and Nebe. I love dancing in disco clubs so when I am in Prague, of course I have to go.
Bohnice
Next day my friends Tyna and Bohunka took me to Bohnice-madhouse or I perefere to call it psychiatric hospitals. This place is quite famous in the Czech Republic. No, I did not stay there!!

People who are living here can go and spend some time with animals which is really nice, I think.

Three of us. Also crazy people :-)

Botanical garden
At the end my friends showed me local botanical garden. It´s for free because it´s already November. Such as beautiful colours, don´t you think?
my new handbag by Tommy Hilfiger from the U.S.

How was your weekend? I love spending time with my friends so I guess see you soon? :-)

International Conference in Prague

Hi guys.
On tuesday I attended  International Conference called "Winning by quality" in Prague. If there is some important event like this, most of the time you have to go to Prague. For me it´s ok because it takes only 1 hour by bus. The ticket price of this conference was incredible 4235 kč which is around 155 euro. I was there for free because my teacher had arranged it for us (me and couple of other students and teachers from my university).

National house of Vinohrady- our venue.

This is how it looks inside.

The prove that I have been there.

During the afternoon I participated in workshop focus on innovation. Official language: English. Finally I could speak English again. I just love this language. In my group they chose me as leader to speak for all of us. Lucky me :-)

Our lecturer was Chris Hakes. He also gave us these amazing books for free.

Prague during the night.

After the conference I arranged a meeting with one of my friends. This summer Peťan spent a month in Australia and as you know I spent 4 months in the U.S. so there was so much to talk about.

I have enjoyed Prague as always and you can meet me there again on saturday because I am going to visit my czech friends that I know from the U.S.
See you later

Halloween is about partying

Hello.
Do you like Halloween? I do. I mean, I like partying and for me Halloween is all about partying. We don´t take it that seriously in the Czech Republic. We usually just go out. Anyway I also believe in magic (don´t judge me, please). The most I like witches- the good ones, of course. So I am usually a witch. What about you, guys? :-)

In case you don´t recognize me I am that witch on the left.

Having a pumpkin is necessary.

Halloween-birthday party in Liberec, 2010 I guess?
I was a man from Scotland. I remember now that I was actually the only one who didn´t look scary at all so everybody made a fun of me.

Halloween in the U.S., 2014
This september I was preparing stuff for Halloween in the U.S. I have to say that they take it very seriously here. I wanted to show you more photos but it is so much disgusting that I just couldn´t.
This one is acceptable (more or less).

Ok, I show you at least one disgusting photo but just one. This is a pizza made of humans. It is so disgusting, right??

How did you celebrate your Halloween last week? On saturday I am going to a big Halloween-birtday party. So my Halloween is not over. Not yet.
See you next time.
