Chu Lu Ranch as a place where you can play with animals

Hi folks,
this article is about Chu Lu ranch, a place I´ve visited with Amy. We´ve made a stop here just for like 2 hours. We´ve had quite poor weather, raining actually.

I would recommend this place if you:
-  want to make a trip with your kids  (in case you have kids)
- love animals
- want to spend a half day in the nature

A few facts
- located in Taitung region
- you can buy dairy products here
- you can feed local animals and also play with them

Like most of the time we are riding motor scooters. I just love it.

Welcome to Chu Lu Ranch.

A few pics.

I just wish I could have seen more animals.

You can read basic information in Chinese about local animals.

Of couse I had to buy an ice cream made from local high quality milk.

And that´s it. If you ask me, I love animals. In Liberec we have 3 cats and 2 parrots. When I was a little girl we also had 4 guinea pigs, 1 rabbit and a few more parrots. Now, I sometimes play also with 2 dogs in Bratislava that belong to my boyfriend´s parents.

Have a great evening

Liyu Lake as a small nice quiet lake in Hualien

Hi folks,
let me start this article with:

"It´s true that I travel really a lot. Very often my friends ask me about recommendations."

Recently one of my friends told me that I liked every place that I had visited. So, when she asks me about recommendations of some city (or a place) I always say that it´s nice. So, she has some doubts about trusting me if the place is really good or not (in a good way).

Let me tell you this. Whenever I travel somewhere I always try to make the best of it. So, even if you believe there is nothing worth it, I will do my best to convince you that there is.

For instance, some of my friends don´t like Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia. My boyfriend comes from Bratislava, so I can say that I travel there from time to time. If you ask me, I would recommend you Bratislava for a visit- there is a nice walk along the river Danube, nice squares, old town etc. etc. So, I´m sorry but I disagree if somebody tells me that there is nothing to be seen there.

Back to Taiwan. I was actually nicely surprised by Liyu lake. It´s a small lake where Amy and I made a quick stop. Some of you might say that this place is boring and there is nothing interesting. I disagree. Let me show you.

A few facts
- located in part of Hualien
- nice lake
- very quiet area

My recommendations
-  make a quick stop here if you are staying in Hualien city
- go for a walk around the lake
- have lunch in some local place

What else than a motor scooter.

You can have lunch here.

I was eating in places like these every day (local eatery).

If you are interested, you can rent a kind of boat.

Now, let´s take a walk around the lake.

So, what do you think?? As far as I can tell, I would honestly recommend you to make a stop and go for a walk around Liyu Lake :-)

Danshui as a place for riding a bike in Taipei

This article is related to one particular part of Taipei, the capital city of Taiwan. The place is called Danshui. I have spent there with Amy and Jasmine few hours during my second day in Taiwan.

A few facts and recommendations
- it is a small fishing city
- Fisherman´s Wharf
- there is a metro station, so you can easily get there
- you can rent a bike
- you can take a boat (along with your bike)
- shopping in markets

We are renting bikes.

Cycling here is not difficult.

We are taking a boat.

Do you see Jasmine´s cap? It´s from Liberec (our hockey team White tigers) and Jasmine as well as Amy love it. Yes, I always bring gifts to my friends abroad.

Few photos takes from our boat.

Danshui Lover´s bridge.

Fisherman´s Wharf.

This is how typical market´s street looks like.

I´m buying some presents.

We are looking for a place where to eat.

We have found one. Now, we just have to choose from the menu (which is in Chinese, so I have no idea what they say).

Girls have ordered something (don´t ask me what).

Soups.

Mean meal.

After lunch I am eating the ice cream. I love the colour but it was actually not good at all..

wearing my T-shirt from Ibiza
So, what do you think? I would recommend you Danshui in case you have more free time in Taipei than like 1 or 2 days (it takes approx. 45 min. by metro from main statio).

Yehliu as a geological curiosity

Hi guys,
this article is about Yehliu. Yehliu is a cape. We made a stop here with Jasmine, Amy and her family while I was staying in Taipei. First of all let me tell you that this place is definitely worth visiting.

A few facts and recommendations
- located in New Taipei
- go there by car or motor scooter from Taipei
-  take your ISIC student card with you in case you are still a student

We are entering the Yehliu geopark. Take your ISIC student card with you to Taiwan. You will get discounts in many places.

People in Taiwan like these little things.

This is how I am spending my very first day in Taiwan.

The perfect view.

We are slowly going to see some unusual shapes of stones (or rocks) which are famous in the geopark.

The most famous is The Queen's Head. Everybody wants to take a picture with her and there is always a long queue.

So, what is your opinion? As I see it, this place is just beautiful..
