Long weekend in Bratislava- castle, nature and shopping

How was my long weekend of October in Slovakia?

Friday
On friday we were basically shopping in the Pandorf outlet in Austria which is really close to Bratislava. It takes around 40 min. by car. Believe it or not, but my boyfriend bought more stuff than me. Again :-)

Saturday

Trip to Pajštún. What´s Pajštún? I didn´t know it either.

A few facts about Pajštún:
- the beginnings of the royal castle: second half of the 13th century.
- the castle was destroyed by Napolen´s army
- ruins of castle Pajštún
- popular place for a saturday/sunday trip for a people from Bratislava
- starting point: village Borinka

I highly recommend you this trip. If you ever go to Bratislava and you have some free time, take a car and go there. It takes only few minutes. We also took Meggi with us (the dog ) because she loves trips like these.

After the trip we are visiting UFO bridge-the view is stunning.

Dinner in Patronsky brewery. My favourite Slovakian meal is Brynza halušky.

Sunday
The autumn is coming. I love these colours.

I found a mushroom, would you believe it? I never find a mushroom.

The area of Devin lake. Love pictures before the storms.

I´m already looking forward to another weekend in Bratislava. I always discover something new and special.

How was my 27th birthday

Hello my friends,
as you probably know from own experience, the time flies quite fast and I still can´t believe that I turned to 27 this October. I admit that I might look a little bit young. Unfortunately some people think that I´m still studying at high school or something, so they don´t hesitate asking me about my ID.

Anyway, how was my birthday this year? It was great. I was celebrating it in 4 different cities and 2 countries.

Weekend in Liberec
As usual I´m celebrating my B-day with friends and family in Liberec. I bet that you guys are very curious about what kind of gifts, I´ve received this year. So, let me show you.

Furla handbag from Belgium. I was missing red handbag. Not any more :-)

S.Fiorentino small purse from Liberec.

Twin-set wallet from Belgium.

Dolce & Gabbana shoes from the U.S.

Chocolate. Chocolate. Chocolate.

Bath towels and book.

The cosmetics is always useful.

Shopping with my mum. Actually, I didn´t want to go to this shop. At the end I´ve bought shirt, dress and sweater. Thanks, mum :-) All of it in sale.

My favourite desserts especially the one called "Indian".

B-day and weekend in Prague
This is how I look on the day of my 27th birthday.

How was my B-day Tuesday?

From my colleagues at work.

Salt cave. It is a little bit cold inside for me and I can´t fall asleep in places like these.

 Shopping in M&S.

How was my B-day weekend in Prague?

B-day lunch in Italian restaurant with my boyfriend.

Cafe Pražírna. It is my second time here.

Presents from my friends in Prague.

Robert Starý Barber shop. I´ve decided for a new haircut.

Weekend in Brno
We started with B-day breakfast in Tivoli Cafe. I would really recommend you this place: prices are acceptable, breakfast was very tasty, coffee is good as well as home made lemonade, waitress is nice and the place is very cozy. I will definitely come here again.

My boyfriend gave me this book for my name day (19.10.). The big present for my B-day is still coming. Can you guess what is it?

Long weekend in Bratislava
Shopping in the outlet Parndorf in Austria. To be honest, I wasn´t sure about the colour of my new watches. But my boyfriend and his family has convinced me that it´s just perfect colour and the other one is sooo boring. Well, ok :-)

UFO (bridge) in Bratislava. There is a stunning a view. It was really hard to convince my boyfriend to come here. I was begging that it´s my B-day, so come on. The view is perfect, the restaurant inside, not so much...

And that´s all, my friends. How did you celebrate your B-day? Next year I will be 28. OMG.

Have a nice evening

The river Berounka as our canoeing trip in 2016

Hello,
the same as last year, we were canoeing this summer. Just for a weekend due to our busy schedules and no more days off. This year we wanted some place close to Prague. So the river Berounka was our first choice. But to be honest, I wouldn´t choose it again. We had to work "really hard". Many times we carried our canoes, no currents etc.. On the other hand, there is one big advantage if you compare it to river Vltava-there are far less people.

A few facts about canoeing:
- go with 2 cars, one leave at starting point and second in your final destination (we didn´t and it was mistake)
- prepar lots of cash, no paying by credit card
- it can be raining and cold during the night
- the quality of food (junk food) you can buy during your canoing trip, is not very high
- it is all worth it for the experience and you make unforgettable memories

Our trip: from Chrást to Zvíkovec in 2 days =  43,5 km. You can see the details about our trip here: http://www.dronte.cz/cs/rivers/84-berounka/two-days

And this is ladies and gentlemen also, how I met my boyfriend :-)

Last story: Do you like Matus shirt? I don´t. But that´s actually the reason which put us together (yes, this ugly shirt), so I keep it as a kind of souvenir and he can wear it once per year when we go canoeing.

With love
