Teryho Chata and Zbojnička - one of the most difficult hikes in High Tatras and my favourite

The hike from Teryho Chata to Zbojnická Chata is one of the most difficult in High Tatras - that´s why I love it! I knew Zbojnická Chata (so called Zbojnička) before because my exboyfriend go there every year during the winter. I have heard so much about it, for instance about the restroom with awesome view, that I just wanted to visit this place. And guess what? I did.

When we arrived to Teryho Chata the weather didn´t look good. I asked some locals and they said it is like 50 to 50 that it can be bad to hike from there to Zbojnicka Chata. After all, it is one of the most difficult hikes. But I am stubborn and I just wanted to do it. Because who knows, when I will be back? 3 of my friends decided not to realized it and come back to Starý Smokovec. I managed to convince Sarka and Karel. For a moment, it looked that I will really go by myself because Sarka is afraid of heights (you will know from the photos below what I measn). But at the end, she did it! Proud of her. A little problem was, after we climbed that rock, the rain started and big one. I was a bit angry with myself. And because of the heavy rain, the way down wasn´t that easy. But after all, it was quite advanture.

Our hike: Teryho chata - Priečne sedlo - Zbojnicka chata.

Did you know that Teryho chata
... 2015 metres above sea level
... is the second highest mountain chalet in High Tatras
... you can sleep there, the capacity is 24 people

Did you know that Zbojnická Chata
...1960 metres above sea level
... restroom is outside and it has the best toilet view you can imagine
...you can sleep there, the capacity is 16 people

The way to Zbojnická Chata.

When I saw locals to put on their raincoats, that was the moment, when I took mine.

And this is how it looks after 30 minutes.

Still some snow.

On this trip I realized that even there were really bad moments, I can actually handle much more. And because I don´t know many crazy people like me, maybe I will have to go by myself. My brother told me about Pacific Crest Trail. What do you think??

Velke Biele Pleso & Chata pri Zelenom Plese & Kopské Sedlo

I organized this trip to High Tatra Mountains, but I didn´t plan any hike. The thing is that I always come up with some ideas, find some people who are willing to come but then I am too lazy to bother myself with the details  for instance how we will get there. Very often I just leave to "we will see". And we will. It was my first time in this National Park so basically I didn´t have any requirements about where to go. Except one and you will find out in the next article what that was and why.

A few points:
- Chata pri Zelenom Plese - 1551 metres above sea level
- Velke Biele Pleso - 1609 metres above sea level
- these two places are 30 min by walk from each other
- Kopské Sedlo - 1750 metres above sea level
- 30 min. also takes to go from Velke Biele Pleso to Kopske Sedlo

Velke Biele Pleso.

Kopské Sedlo.

Chata pri Zelenom Plese.

I actually wanted to do one ore hike but it was getting dark so we wouldn´t make it on time and nobody else was excited about this idea anyway. So, I will save it for the next time then.

Lomnický Štít as second highest mountain in Slovakia and my new challenge

If you wanna see Lomnický Štít, you need to use a cable car to get there. I always try to avoid it because I prefere walking. There is another option - you can climb it but it is not that easy and you need sme equipment to do so. And that´s where my next challenge and idea for my bucket list was born.

Did you know that Lomnický Štít:
... is the second highest mountain in Slovakia
... 2634 metres above sea level
... there is a cable car
... you have to book the tickets in advance because it is really popular

The beginning - Skalnaté Pleso - 1751 metres above sea level.

Lomnický Štít - you can´t affect the weather. But it was getting better after all.

Our way back.

Waterfalls - Vodopády Studeného Potoka are also really popular.

First time I used a cable car. Next time I´m gonna climb there. That´s my new challenge. I think people should push their limits and get out of the comfortable zone sometimes. So, who is coming with me?
