Munich - olympic park and nature

Munich was our last stop. We had return flight tickets Munich - Melbourne for 17 000 CZK which is a good price. We slept one night in a hostel - A&O Munchen Hackerbrucke. You can easily get to Munich from Prague by train to city centre or there are direct buses to the airport. It´s the third biggest city in Germany and there are truly lots of things to do. Except when it´s holiday - like we experienced. It´s really hard to find for instance an open restaurant and we were so hungry/angry :-)

What means Munich for me?
- nice nature
- cozy city centre
- oktoberfest (beer festival which I never joined)
- olympic park - nice view over the city
- snoring roommate in the hostel
- famous football club Bayern Munich

Devonport - beaches, trees, lighthouse and the smallest airport

My dear friends,
Devonport was our first stop in Tasmania. If I had a chance again, I would definitely fly to Hobart - it´s cheaper and better transportation and location. ou can also go by ferry but it takes longer and it´s more expensive. We paid for a returtn ticket Melbourne - Devonport about 7 000 CZK. There are only 2 ways how to get off the aiport - taxi or rent a car. However I don´t regret it because Devonport is beautiful as you can see on the photos below.

What means Devonport for me?
- expensive flights from Melbourne
- no transportation from the airport
- smallest airport I have seen
- lots of runners, active people
- young man who died as a hero saving his friend
- beaches
- beautiful trees
- lighthouse

Our big adventure in Tasmania was about to begin.

Dandenong Ranges National Park - animals and nobody

It´s very close to Melbourne city. You can go there by train. When I travel, I try to combine visiting the cities and nature. I´ve read about Dandenong Ranges National Park in my guide book and we also met in the bar some Italian guy who is living in Melbourne and asked him about some tips for a trip outside of Mebourne and he said we should go to Dandenong.

A story
I have no idea how many kilometres we walked that day. The thing is that I don´t use maps that often when I travel so sometimes I just walk and don´t worry too much. This was the case. Now I know better. In Australia the distances are just incredible with combination of no people you can get in trouble when you get lost, it is getting dark and you hear the scarry sound of animals. We did. But also we were a bit lucky so there was a happy ending. I never told my brother that there was a moment when I felt really stressful about our situation but I kept it to myself.

What means NP Dandedong for me?
- special, amazing and beautiful animals
- special birds whose sound is like elephant
- we got lost
- peaceful place
- no people

The beginning of our jorney - the view from the train.

Something like a metro card - just for buses. To be honest I really didn´t get this whole Myki system.

We are entering the park.

Do you see?

When I saw the bus stop I felt happy. But then we found out that we don´t know where we are because it wasn´t written there. So, we waited, then we got on the bus and believed that we are on the right way back to Melbourne.

It was quite an adventure.
