How was my 26th birthday

Hi guys,
following article is about celebrating my birthday. This year I was in Prague (I was also celebrating in Liberec, of course). As always, the time is running so fast that there was no time to think about it. I´m 26 years old. I think that I´ve managed quite a lot of things so far such as finishing my university, finding a job, moving to different city, traveling etc.. In August I was asked if I´m older than 16. And that´s not funny :-)

So, how was it this year? Let´s have a look.

One of the biggest gifts this year- duvet to sleep (winter version). I´m always cold in Prague.

I love chocolate. Toffifee is my favourite and my family knows.

My new ring by Armani, purchased in Liberec.

My new jacket by Zara, purchased in Budapest.

Gifts from my friends in Prague.

Celebrating with my colleagues in Prague.

We went to Italian restaurant called Pizza Nuova. There is a very special offer- degustation. So, my target was clear: taste as many kind of pasta and pizza as it is possible.

dessert- pizza with my favourite Nutella
Italian drink- Spritz.

Let´s go to my Birthday party.

Birthday afternoon.

Birthday dinner in my favourite Italian restaurant.

Marina Grosseto- the view from the restaurant.

Now you can compare photos from last year and this year. How much have I changed?? Do I look a little bit older? I hope so.

My outfit: Handbag and scarf by Coach from the US, coat by H&M from England, jeans by Adidas from Lisbon, shoes by Atmosphere from England

Thank you so much for all your wishes and presents. It really means a lot to me. Like I said last year: "I´m very lucky to have friends like you, guys".

Brno as the capital of Moravia and quick trip to Bratislava

Hi guys,
this article is about Brno and Bratislava. Couple of weeks ago I visited Brno (for the first time in my life). Lately, I´ve realized that I don´t travel much in my own country and that´s something I wanna change. So, here we go.

Here is something about Brno

- it´s the 2nd biggest city in the Czech Republic
- around 500 000 inhabitants
- it´s the capital of Moravia (part of the Czech Republic)
- university town
- it takes around 2,5 h. to go there by bus or train
- people from Brno don´t like people from Prague (I´m living in Prague)

Some photos from Brno.

Cathedral of St. Peter and Paul.

Fixed gear Brno- it´s a bar and they will fix your bike as well.

Main square (freedom).

Brno astronomical clock.
Masaryk street.

Markets on the square. I´ve bought here some local wine. Wines from Moravia should be the best.

Supreme Administrative Court is located in Brno.

Another square.

Starobrno brewery.

Brynza gnocchi- typical Slovakian meal.

The dam in Brno.

Definitely the best Langoš.

On the boat.

Dallas in Texas is a partner city of Brno.

Few photos around...

the anchor

The most famous unfinished highway in the Czech Republic is this one in Brno so-called Hitler's highway.

Local castel called Spilberk.

Few photos around this area

Such as beautiful views..

This is the best "miradouro" in Brno.

And that´s all about Brno. So, how do you like it? In my opinion it´s worth for the visit, so what are you waiting for? :-)

Now, let me show you few photos from Bratislava. What was the purpose of my stay? Well, I´ve represented there within internation conference the Association where I´m working (I was one of the international speakers).

Bratislava is the capital of Slovakia. My grandmother comes from Slovakia but I have been there only once (in Tatry mountains). Yes, I know. Shame on me. I went to Bratislava 3 weeks ago (business trip). I was able to manage re-union with my Slovak friends from Erasmus in Lisbon.

Very fascinating Blue church.

Local mall called Eurovea.

The monument of Milan Rastislav Štefánik (Slovak politician, General of the French army and astronomer).

River Danube and Apollo bridge.

Very first bridge in Bratislava so called Old bridge.

Unfortunately I don´t have many photos from Bratislava  (as you can see :-). Next time, I´ll go there during my free time so I can spend in Bratislava a little bit more time. It´s not so far from Prague- around 5 hours by bus.

See you later

Erasmus Czech reunion in Bayreuth

Hi guys,
I do have some few principles in my life. One of them is that every year I try to do some reunion with my friends I´ve met abroad. So far this year the situation is very good and at the end it will be even better :-). Yes, I´m talking about my trip to Taiwan.

Let´s go back to Bayreuth. That weekend in Germany was just great. Why?

- reunion with my Erasmus friend!!
- parties
- discovering a new place (for me summer is all about traveling)
- practising languages
- relax from work

This is my Czech Erasmus friend Lenka. We know each other from Sicily. She is living in Bayreuth right now.

First night- home made pizza (party food).

Enjoying amazing sunny day at the end of the summer.

This is indeed a very nice bench.

There is a very nice castle surround by large gardens in Bayreuth. I highly recommend you to visit this area.

Next day- swimming pool.

It was so hot that even I was swimming.

Exploring the city centre.

Few more photos.

I want summer back!!

Local dinosaur.

Festival time.

How do you like this city?

Student´s dormitory (I was sleeping there). In my opinion, the quality is very high and I wish to have an accommodation like this when I was still a student.

And one more photo of me and Lenka.

And that´s it. Thanks a lot to Lenka for this amazing weekend and hope to see you soon. Next time in the Czech Republic.

Regards
Míša
