Quick stop in Milan - shopping, cafe, sightseeing

Ciao ragazzi,
have you ever been to Milan?I think this was my 4th visit there. I know that many people don´t like it. The city of Milan actually means a lot to me. It had been one of my dreams. First time I went there when I was 20 years old. I was flying for the first time by plane and alone. Actually, I usually fly like that.

When you say Milan, I can think of few things such as:
- fashion
- shopping
- The Last Supper by Leonardo Da Vinci
- football
- duomo
- Milan risotto

Here are a few photos from the last year.

I highly recommend a place called Panini Durini.

My favourite Italian brand - Motivi.

Shopping is a complete must in Milano. Massimo Dutti is a Spanish brand but I love it too.

My first time in Milan city - 2010 (also first day of my summer job).

My last time so far in Milan city - 2018. The difference is 8 years. Would you say that?

Arrivederci

La Spezia - harbour, castle, cathedral, poets

What do you know about La Spezia? To be honest, before I went to Cinque Terre, I hadn´t heard much about it and trust me, I have traveled quite a lot in Italy. It is getting really hard to agree with my friends on some places where to go because I usually have been there already. If you plan on going to National Park Cinque Terre, I would suggest to get an accommodation right here instead of Cinque Terre (because of the prices of course).

A few facts:
- located in region Liguria, North of Italy
- close to Cinque Terre
- population: 100 000
- harbour
- castle - Castello San Giorgio, established in 1262
- cathedral Cristo Re
- home of famous poets such as Shelley, Montale and Byron.

La Spezia is a nice stop. You can spend here nice afternoon - go for a walk, have a nice dinner and spend some time in the harbour (you can watch the sunset for instance).

Ciao

Corniglia - beach, 382 steps, hiking

Corniglia is one of those 5 places in Cinque Terre National Park. I managed to convince my friend Petra that we could do some hiking over there. The thing is that I saw  a beautiful picture somewhere of the whole city and I just couldn´t find the right place. So, I decided to climb the highest hill. Guess what? I didn´t find it, but I was close. At least I think I was. Anyway.

Did you know that:
... if you wanna go to harbour, you have to take 382 steps
... there is the best swimming in Cinque Terre
... famous beach called "Spiaggia di Guvano" in wild nature, popular to be naked
... one of the story from Decameron book written by Boccacio took place here

As you can see, I don´t really have my hiking equipment with me. I am just wearing a dress. But you yes, you can do that.

Buona giornata

Riomaggiore as the biggest town in Cinque Terre National Park

When you say Cinque Terre, I imagine the colorful houses in Riomaggiore. It is really magical and breathtaking. It had been on my bucket list for a long time. I really love it there.

Did you know that:
... is the biggest from all those 5
...fewer than 2 000 people
...if you walk up to the hill, you will get the most beautiful view (most of the people don´t go there and just stay in harbour)
... there are colorful fishing boats
...wall paintings opposite the train station, which show how the peasants had to work hard here.

As you can see the gate is locked. We wanted to go by walk to another village but at the end, we had to take a train. I was so angry!!

Riomaggiore is personally my favourite place from all those 5. I could sit here and watch it all day long.

Ciao
