Lecce as a place situated in the "heel of the Italian boot"

Hi guys,
first of all I would like to apologize for the delay with my articles.

2 main reasons for the delay are:
- my cat Miky was missing (fortunately we´ve found her after one week of searching)
- I was moving to Prague (Yes, I already have my own room in shared apartment)

Miky is back home and I´m so happy.

Now, I wanna tell you about the rest of my stay in Italy because so far I´ve told you only about 2 cities I´ve been to. It seems like months ago when I was there and it has been only 1 month.

Lecce
Few facts:
- almost 100 000 inhabitants
- if you look at the map of Italy, you will find out that Lecce is situated in the "heel of the Italian boot"
- Lecce is full of architecture - Baroque style

You are entering to the historical part of the city.

local gates

City centre of Lecce is a very historical place.

It was very hot. I think more than 40 degree.

Ok, here is the thing. I love Nutella. And they sell real Nutella as an ice-cream. Am I dreaming??

My favourite little streets.

Local Elementary school.

Lecce is full of history...

Local guy.

This was very funny. The only "normal" meal in Lecce which you can buy in kind of small restaurants around 6 pm is lasagne. No pasta, no pizza, nothing. Just lasagne.

I need something to read while I´m traveling by the train.

Goodbye, Lecce.

I think that Lecce is worth for the visit. There are more tourists in Lecce than in Bari. I love historical cities and Lecce is one of the most historical places I´ve been to.

See you

How was my graduation ceremony

Hello,
today was another very special day for me. My very first graduation in the Czech Republic (Ing.). I couldn´t attend my previous Czech graduation (Bc.) in February 2013 due to my Erasmus in Portugal.

I remember when I was like 13-14 years old, a friend of mine asked me: "Hey, do you wanna study at university one day?" and I said: "What? University? Me??? Never!!!" And look at me today :-)

The summary:
1. graduation- England, University of Huddersfield- BA (Hons)
2. graduation- Czech Republic, Technical University of Liberec- Bc.
3. graduation- Czech Republic, Technical University of Liberec- Ing.

Graduatin ceremony in Huddersfield, England
My first graduation ever.

19.07.2012. It´s hard to believe that it´s already 3 years.

Have you ever seen X-men movie? (I love Marvel comics, you know). Do you remember this guy? His name is Sir Patrick Stewart and he studied at University of Huddersfield. This famous actor is the university’s Chancellor.

he is having a speech to students

I think that University of Huddersfield is one of the best universities in England. I´m very happy that I had this opportunity to study there.

I´m on my way to University. My own mother wouldn´t recognize me.

And here I am. What do you think? How do I look? I like this haircut. It´s my first time like this.

my new dress from boutique in Bari

My father has bought me a huge bunch of flowers. I´ve got one also from my stepfather and grandfather. So, at the end I couldn´t carry it all along other gifts.

So officially my life as a student is over. I´m going to miss it. A lot. However now it´s time also for me to move on. I believe that following chapter (part) of my life is going to be at least equally exciting.

See you

New chapter in my life

Hi guys,
today is a very special day for me. Why? As you probably know 2 weeks ago I finished my university and now my real life (the hard part) is about to start. So, this is a big deal for me. Today was my first day at work.

I think it´s not a secret where I´m working so I can tell you. I´m working as a project coordinator for The Czech Association of Hotels and Restaurants. I´ve told you about this organization already. Do you remember my 3 months of internship in Prague? Yes, it´s the same place. I got a job offer (few months ago and yes, I´m lucky) which I couldn´t refuse. It´s like a dream job for graduates :-)

This photo is taken by professional photographer. You can find it (very soon) on our website along with my job description. So, how do you like it?

I don´t usually look like this (ok, almost never). I actually look quite different. Honestly, for me this is a very new thing (change). Normally, I don´t put on make-up. Why?

My reasons are:
- I don´t like it.
- It takes too much time for me.
- I´m not very good at it.
- When I was a kid, boys always kept saying that I don´t need it. And for some reason I still stick to this opinion.

If you wanna know more about my job, click here. Wish me luck because the beginnings are always hard as you probably know from own experience. You´re still learning many new things and you need to process a lot of information.

See you later
