Kind of different Christmas

How did you guys enjoy the Christmas? My Christmas holidays were a bit different this year. Do you know why? My friends who come from Brazil and Belgium have visited me in my hometown Liberec. I had to show them the city centre and Ještěd of course. This is how we spent Christmas Eve.

Zoo.
My friends from Brazil told me that there are totally different Zoo in Brazil. They have never seen giraffes and elephants for instance.
Me and my friends Rafaele and Cynthia from Brazil.
Jizera Mountains.
Czech nature is very beautiful.

Me and my friend Jonathan from Belgium.

Finally it´s snowing a bit. Rafa has never seen the snow before so she is quite happy.

Our Christmas tree.

Celebrating Christmas with my friends.

This is what I´ve got.

How do you like my new dress?

We have never had so many bottles under the Christmas tree.

I am playing with my nieces. This is how it looks like. I am the fairy by the way.

This year I spent the Christmas with my Erasmus friends. It is quite different because you usually spend it with your family, right? However I do not regret it. I am happy for it. I hope to see you soon in Belgium, Hungary or maybe even in Brazil.

There is always something going on in my life

Hi guys,
what´s up? When I´m in Liberec there is always something happening. Yes, I´m quite busy. However, I don´t mind right now. I can always find a time to do what I like.

Excursion
I wanna know basics about companies which are situated in North part of Bohemia where I am living. Denso is one of them.

Škoda is quite famous brand of cars in the Czech Republic. There is a very interesting trainee programme for graduates.

The automotive industry is very important for my country. Magna is a world renowned manufacturer and supplier of components and systems for the automotive industry.

Last week I went to Kamax which is situated in town Turnov. The company Kamax is technologically leading global manufacturer of high-strength fasteners for the automotive industry.

Night of Warriors
This is a very prestigious event in Liberec. It´s about professional boxing K1 and MMA.

Culture in Liberec
We did have a statue of leopards woman which represents actress and campaigner for freedom- Josephine Baker. However only for 2 days because it was destroyed by some guy during the night.

Yesterday I went to the theater and on sunday I´m going again.

The document about Afganistan. Last week I had a speech again. This scarf which you can see on the photo below comes from Afganistan.

W-linie
W-linie is a Czech brand of clothes. I like it very much as well as my mom which means that we buy clothes here quite often.

And finally I wanna wish you Merry Christmas. This year it´s gonna be a bit different for me because my friends who come from Brazil and Belgium are coming to visit me in Liberec. Enjoy Christmas holidays.

Christmas time is here

Hello.
Do you like Christmas time? I always feel like I can´t wait to unwrap my presents. On the other hand I don´t like (actually hate) when I am cold and right now it´s cold in my country. At least for me. I know it is going to be worst but still. During last few days the temperature was around -4 degree, brrr..

Huddersfield, 2011
Do you remember England? It was the first time I´ve been away around Christmas holidays so I could see their Christmas lights, decorations and everything.

Barcelona, 2013
Also during my Erasmus internship I had a chance to see how it works abroad around Christmas.

You can always notice beautiful Christmas decorations in malls as well as crazy people shopping at the last minute.

Liberec
This is our Christmas tree. There was a problem with electricity or something during the ceremony when they wanted to turn on the lights. Back than our main square was full of people, totally crowded. So you can imagine how everybody was quite angry.

Tree of Wishes
Do not forget about kids with no home. Every year my family buys some presents for them. This year I have chosen a boy who is 15 years old and his name is Walter, I think or something like that. I have very poor memory when it comes to names. Anyway I hope he will be happy about the gift.

And this week is finally snowing..

What about you? Are you looking forward to Christmas? :-)

My current internship in Liberec

Hi guys.
Today I have decided to tell you something about my current internship. I am working in my hometown- Liberec. It´s unpaid but I don´t mind because it´s quite good point in my CV and I like my job, so :-)

A month ago I represented our Eurocentrum at the Education fair.  We provide infromation about EU, studying and working abroad, organization of lessons about EU for schools. In few days I will speak about celebration of Christmas in the EU in front of small kids from elementary school. That´s gonna be interesting. At least for me :-)

In our office.

I always wear nice clothes to our office. Unfortunately I always also forget to take a camera with me. Few days ago I finally did not fotget my camera but I forgot to dress formal. Yes, that´s all me :-)

Sometimes I have a speech when we organizace some events. This one was about Azerbaijan.

Last photo is from event called Going Europe which took place at our university few weeks ago. I had a chance to meet some Erasmus students in Liberec. They spoke about studying at universities as well as what is like to live there.
I think it´s good if you work a little bit already during your studies at university. Especially because you will gain some experience. Thus it will be easier to find a job later. Are you doing any internship as well? From January I will have another one. This time in Prague.
See you later

Leonardo da Vinci as my favourite Italian guy

Hi there.
Now is the period of time when I am writing lots of presentations for my university. 2 weeks ago I had to submit a piece of paper for subject called Management innovation. I have chosen Leonardo da Vinci.

source: http://www.riddochartgallery.org.au/?page_id=1803
The question is why? Well, because I like this guy. Firstly because he is Italian :-) and then because he was such as genius and innovator. I am very fascinated by his work. Let me tell you something about his life.

Florence
He was born in the middle of 15th century. Leonardo comes from Vinci which is quite close to Florence. He was studying there and Florence was also a matter of his heart. I have been there and totally love this city. It´s just beautiful.

Me in Florence, 2010
Milan
After Florence he left to Milan where he spent about 17 long years.  Leonardo was working on so many things that most of them he never finished. In Milan there is his master piece The last supper. If you wanna see it you have to make a reservation few months before. Of course, I didn´t know that. That´s why I haven´t see it so far. I have been also in Milan couple of times and my favourite place is this square in front of catheral- Piazza del Duomo

Duomo di Milano
Leonardo and his travelling period
For next 17 years he was travelling all around Italy for example Venice, Florence, Milan, Rome etc..

Rome
Rome, well let´s say Vatican because it is the residence of the Pope. Leonardo never had so good relationship with Rome. He loved Florence republic. Anyway, he was making an autopsy in order to understand the structure of the human body. However the Pope forbade him to do. For me Rome is one of the most amazing cities I have ever seen. I am always happy when I have a chance to go there.

Me and Fontana di Trevi in Rome, 2010
France
The last years of his life he spent in France. In Paris you can see his other master piece Mona Lisa. I have been in Paris but unfortunately I haven´t see it. I know, shame on me. Next time,ok? Leonardo is buried in the chapel of Saint-Hubert in Château at Amboise. I have been there too and the chateau is very nice.

The chapel of Saint-Hubert

Leonardo was a man who was ahead of his time. In his time people were not ready for his inventions.
For me he was one of the biggest innovators. He was interested and excelled for instance in the fields of painting, sculpture, architecture, anatomy, mechanics, geometry, music, war machines, flying machines, botany, invented the parachute or even painted his own portrait.

If you are fascinated by him as much as I am, I would recommend you to watch the serial called Da Vinci´s Demons. At least first series is good.
See you later

Me and Bohunka

They were just opening new shopping center last week. This head you can meet in front of it. It is actually quite fascinating.

Petřín-observation tower
It is kind of Czech Eiffel Tower, right?

What can I say? My friends told me that I have to put a photo on my blog describing my outfit so here you go.
My outfit: coat by River Island from England, jeans by Adidas from Portugal, shoes and scarf by Atmosphere from England, handbag by Tommy Hilfiger from the U.S.
A friend of mine always calls me international. He´s got a point :-)

The view of Prague

Let´s party, shall we?
Kings Dominion meeting. I am so happy that I could see you again, guys. We started in place called PopoCafePetl which was surprisingly cheap. After that dancing in Zlaty strom and Nebe. I love dancing in disco clubs so when I am in Prague, of course I have to go.
Bohnice
Next day my friends Tyna and Bohunka took me to Bohnice-madhouse or I perefere to call it psychiatric hospitals. This place is quite famous in the Czech Republic. No, I did not stay there!!

People who are living here can go and spend some time with animals which is really nice, I think.

Three of us. Also crazy people :-)

Botanical garden
At the end my friends showed me local botanical garden. It´s for free because it´s already November. Such as beautiful colours, don´t you think?
