Sněžka - the highest mountain in the Czech Republic and the sunrise

I was thinking about going to Snezka during the night for quite some time. So, when my friend Alena came up with this idea, of course I was in! So, in October, (actually like 3 days after my b-day) we organized a trip to Snezka with the aim to see the sunrise.

You should know:
- sleep before you go. I went to climb the wall inside. Of course, I handle it but just because I have too much of energy
- it was quite cold already, so bring warm clothes and tea
- this idea is quite popular in these days, so you will meet many people on the top of the mountain
- usually people arrive to their starting point in the morning (for instance we left at 3 am) and then after the climbing go back home, so you need a driver who can handle it

Tatra team

Like I said, it was also my b-day so my friend Honza suprised me and at the top he gave me this bottle along with the glasses to toast.

We were so cold that we were not even able to dress up our Tatra team t-shirts.

On the way back to the car.

It was great and I hope that next year we will organize the same crazy trip but just with a different mountain.

Olomouc as the historical city in the Czech Republic

Last week I spent few days in city Olomouc. I remember Olomouc from the time when I practised JUDO and I have very nice memories about it. Especially local square.

You should know:
- very nice Christmas markets
- historical city
- more than 100 000 inhabitants, the 6th biggest city in the Czech Republic
- located in Moravia part
- Pillar "Sloup nejsvětější trojice" - UNESCO
- town hall with an astronomical clock
- the views from town hall

First picture is from Thursday when we arrived. Second is from Saturday while we were leaving.

Snow + sun = the perfect winter weather.

It wasn´t definitely my last time there. Olomouc is only 2 hours from Prague by train.

Smrk as the highest mountain in Jizera Mountains

Smrk is the highest Mountain in Jizera Mountains. It is quite shame that I was there for the first time only few months ago. It was on my bucket list and I convinced my friends that we just have to go there. The weather was perfect and we even saw the local firemen race.

You should know:
- good starting point: go to Nove Mesto Pod Smrkem by train, it is quite close to Liberec
- you can choose between few ways with a different level of difficulty
-  observation tower

Tatra team.

The way to Smrk by bike is quite popular these days.

Our final stop where we are taking the train back to Liberec - Bílý Potok.

I just love mountains.
