Russel Falls & Lake St. Clair & Queenstown

Day one: Hobart to Strahan

Our journey begins as we traverse the island from east to west. Leaving Hobart through the Derwent Valley, we walk in the land of the giants and admire the beauty of Russell Falls and Mt Field National Park. Visit Lake St Clair, Australia’s deepest freshwater lake. Enter the temperate time capsule that is the Franklin-Gordon Wild River National Park. End the day in Strahan beside the majestic Macquarie Harbour.
Overnight: Strahan

What this trip means to me?
Russel Falls - beautiful watterfalls, must do in Tasmania, Mount Field National Park
Local Farm - every time I bought something, we should support local producers and the products were always delicious-expensive like everything in Australia but delicious
Lake St. Clair - deepest lake in Australia, the end of Overland Track, I saw bags of people who just finished it
Random stops- totally love it, amazing views - you are surrounded by nature and animals
Queenstown - typical little town in Tasmania, beautiful views from the top of the hill where we were arriving by car
