Introduction to National Park of High Tatras in Slovakia

My dear friends,
the month April is related to Slovakia. I love it there (in fact we used to be one country so). My grandmother comes from Slovakia - but from different part.

We can´t compare with them in terms of Mountains. So, me and my friend Ala organized a trip to High Tatra Mountains in Slovakia. How was it there? You will see and I definitely has to recommend. At the end we were 6 people and called ourselves "Tatra Team" :-)

Advantages:
- close to Czech Republic
- you don´t need a car
- you can speak Czech

Disadvantages:
- high prices
- weather can be bad, from 10 days there were 2 days of rain
- there are more Czechs than Slovakian people in the mountains, especially during national holidays

Train - you can easily go to High Tatras by night train from Prague.

The weather is unpredictable - you need a plan B - for instance a Cave.

But the weather can be also great like this morning. You can get burn.

Raincoat is must! This one is from Decatlon and cost me less than 100 CZK.

You need a good Camera.

You have a chance to do some other sport activities.

Kind of ferraty.

Tatra tea can´t miss. My favourite is the black bottle. I think it is about 50% alcohol.

We were trying to creat some promotion for Tatra tea. The target was clear-take you favourite bottle. My friend Ala created these T-shirts and I must say they are awesome.

You need good clothes and shoes. The weather is changing often.

Try some Slovakian food such as Halušky.

I really appreciate that you know how long it takes to get somewhere. I think this information is more valuable then how far it is - kilometres.

Sometimes I had to really focus where to put my leg.

You can clear your head while you are climbing some hills.

Relax in the mountains.

Enjoy the views you deserve.

Waterfalls.

Our second accommodation - also recommend.

Shopping. My favourite outdoor brand - Zajo (it is Slovakian brand). First time I am visiting the shop, mostly I buy things online because it is not in the Czech Republic.

I love these colours.

I fall in love with these shoes - the blue one. But unfortunately it was sold when I wanted to buy it few months later in my country.

Make new challenges. Mine is that I wanna climb to Lomnický Štít one day.

And finally stay positive. I know, it can be hard sometimes. You are tired from the hills, it is raining, you are hungry etc. etc. But then at the end of the day - I love it all.

Regards
Miska
