Tainan as Hana´s hometown

Hello my friends,
this article is about the time I spent in Tainan. The destiny brought me to Tainan because Hana, who was my roommate in the U.S. lives there with her family. So, she made me a tour in her hometown. I have to say that I was nicely suprised that there are so many things to do and see. Judge for yourself.

A few facts:
- located in south
- one of the biggest cities in Taiwan
- sightseeing: lighthouse, Old Tait & Co Merchant House, Hayashi Department Store, Fort Provintia
- large Night market

First night: We are having dinner at Night market. Night markets are street markets which are operated only during the nights. This meal is really delicious. I like it a lot. I only had one problem in Taiwan. I have never finished my meal because the portion is always too big.

This is where Hana lives.

Of course we are riding by motor scooter.

My breakfast.

Something sweet and typical after the breakfast.

Sightseeing in Tainan.

Old Tait & Co Merchant House was our first stop.

Anping Tree house.

Me and Hana.

I think this local house looks interesting.

In front of Old Tait & Co Merchant House.

Our second stop was local lighthouse.

The view from lighthouse.

We are going to visit some local temples.

We are having lunch.

After lunch or dinner, people in Taiwan very often buy a tea.

Famous local ice-cream.

Hayashi Department Store.

The view.

On the top of the roof.

Fort Provintia, also known as Chihkan Tower is one of Tainan's (and Taiwan's) most famous historic buildings.

Local temple.

We are having dinner. One of the most famous restaurants in Tainan.

And after dinner-shopping. I fall in love with few brands from Asia. Unfortnately I can´t buy it in Europe. So, I guess I would have to wait for my next journey to Asia.

Regards
Michalka
