The Great Wall of China as one of the seven wonders of the world

The airport in Peking is the second busiest airport in the world. So, no surprise that we got lost! We had a layover there on the way to Australia because we flew with the company Air China. We had a time about 20 hours in Peking. You can get a transit visa at the airport, you just have to wait few hours in the line because there is only 1 person who is managing it. We wanted to visit The Great Wall of China. My brother asked some guy at the airport if he wants to come with us and share the expences for a taxi. My brother is an introvert. I still don´t believe that he asked him because I refused. A taxi driver didn´t speak any English, we didn´t speak any Chinese. He had an translator in his phone - some application. So he said something in Chinese and then his phone told us in English. It wasn´t perfect at all but it was better that nothing and at the end we were all satisfied.

What means The Great Wall of China for me?
-  the strongest wind in my life
- so many people
- people who don´t appologize if they step on your foot for instance
- a trip with German guy
- I am very grateful for my brother who was traveling with me
- I read a few articles about this place - for instance it took 1800 years to build it or 500 000 people died during the process, some say 1 million

What means Peking for me?
- I understood the subway
- annoying locals who try to sell you everything and bother you all the time
- we were quite celebrities
- I had an argument at the airport with a girl who was selling a coffee. She didn´t speak any English, I don´t speak any Chinese (only few words). So, at the end I drop it because my brother was mad at me that I argue with her.
- I wanna explore China more
- night market with theatre
- I like Chinese food
- we got lost at the airport and it was quite hard to understand. My brother volunteered that he will solve the situation without making any noise like I would because I was getting a bit angry. Well, he did.
- few hours waiting in the queue for a stamp
