Bay of Fires - red rocks & Wildlife Sanctuary - Tasmanian devil

Day four: Launceston to Bicheno

We make our way to the East Coast and the beautiful Bay of Fires. If the conditions are right, this is the perfect place for a swim. Tasmania’s most scenic coastal drive takes you from St Helens to Bicheno, where we visit a wildlife sanctuary to meet the iconic Tasmanian devil. Tonight, you may want to join an evening viewing of the Little Penguins.  (optional and at own expense and seasonal $30).
Overnight: Bicheno (Breakfast)

What this trip means to me?
St. Helens - quick stop for Chinese food and buy something in the supermarket
Bay of Fires - the most beautiful beach I have ever been to + amazing red rocks
Wildlife Sanctuary - Tasmania devils and feeding kangaroos
Bicheno - eating a shark for a dinner with the most beautiful view for 10 AUD + walking alone after the dinner to lookout
Little Penguins - they are so cute, highly recommend, I don´t have any photos because it was forbidden to take it

Did you know that

Bay of Fires
- white beaches
- Orange-hued granite rocks
- named by Captain Tobias Furneaux in 1773, he saw the fires of Aboriginal people on the beaches

Wildlife Sanctuary
- rescued animans
- you can buy a little package of some food and then give it to animals
